APAC's ANNUAL ELT CONVENTION: For teachers, by teachers

Three days packed full of activities, workshops and lectures to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in ELT

For more than 20 years, APAC has organised its annual convention with the goal of offering teachers and other professionals working in the field of ELT an opportunity to meet up, spruce up their lessons and gain new skills; to find out what's going on in each other's classes and what the latest trends are.

Every time we meet for our annual conference in February we are surprised by the amount of great quality work that is going on all over the place, and how oblivious most people are to it. If we don’t share our good work, we risk it having no continuity, and this can lead to many teachers feeling burnt out.

Teaching, like learning, is a social process that is enriched through meaningful interaction with our peers. Those of you who participate in projects, training sessions and exchanges know this very well - when we design our sessions as a team we feel more motivated, more creative, more confident about trying out new things. Learning is not possible without negotiation, and this applies both within and beyond the school.

See you in our next Convention in 2020!

Working well and training are important, but so is sharing what we do. There’s no need to work on your own, and at APAC we want to offer all creative teachers a place to share their projects and be inspired by others' ideas.
